Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RecruitersNexus ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use www.recruitersnexus.com, including the Nexus AI mock interviewer, exam board interview practice, employer screening, HR expert sessions and the Nexus Board Championship. Please read it together with our Terms of Use.

1. What we collect

• Account data: your name, email address, profile picture and login details. If you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we receive basic profile information from them. If you use email and password, your password is stored in hashed form.
• Profile data: information you add, such as profession, experience, city and CV details. For HR expert verification of Pakistani users, we may collect your CNIC.
• Interview data: the questions you were asked, your typed or transcribed answers, and the scores, feedback and reports produced.
• Camera summary numbers: only if you turn the camera on (see below).
• Payment records: transaction ID, amount, item, date and status, received from our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
• Employer data: company details and job posts created by employers.
• Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type, pages visited and error logs, and the cookies needed to keep you logged in.
• Messages: anything you send us by email or phone.

2. Camera, microphone and voice

Camera body-language analysis (optional)

If you enable the camera, body-language analysis runs on your own device, inside your browser, using MediaPipe. Your video is not uploaded to us and is not stored. Only summary numbers are saved with your interview report, for example the share of time your face was visible, how often you looked at the camera, smiling, blinks and movement. You can always choose not to enable the camera. The camera is required for the Championship final round.

Voice recognition and text-to-speech

Voice answers and spoken questions use your browser's built-in speech services. Depending on your browser, audio may be processed by the browser vendor (for example Google, for Chrome) under its own privacy policy. We receive the resulting text, not the audio recording.

Third-party AI

When enabled, we may use Google Gemini to write interview questions or feedback. In that case your answers may be sent to Google for processing.

3. How we use your data

• to create and manage your account and log you in;
• to run interviews and produce scores, feedback and reports;
• to process payments and keep transaction records;
• to verify HR experts and championship winners;
• to run the Championship, including leaderboards, integrity checks and the Hall of Champions;
• to improve the service, including using interview answers in anonymised form to improve our question bank (for example question difficulty statistics and example answers);
• to prevent fraud, cheating and abuse and to keep the platform secure;
• to reply to you and send important service messages;
• to meet legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:

• Employers: when you apply to a job on RecruitersNexus, the employer can see your AI interview results and the application details you submit for that job.
• HR experts: when you book a live session, the HR expert sees the details needed to run it.
• Service providers: payment providers (JazzCash, Easypaisa or your bank for local transfers, and Creem for card payments), our hosting provider (Vercel), our database provider, our email provider, and Google Gemini when AI generation is enabled. They process data only to provide their services to us.
• Public display: Championship leaderboards and, for winners, the Hall of Champions (name, photo if provided, exam, city and a short quote).
• Legal reasons: where required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.

5. Cookies and login sessions

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you logged in, including a JwtToken cookie and NextAuth session cookies. Your browser may also store small preferences locally. Blocking these cookies may stop login from working.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep certain records (for example payment records). Anonymised data that no longer identifies you may be kept to improve the question bank.

7. Your rights

• Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: fix inaccurate data, in your profile or by contacting us.
• Deletion: ask us to delete your account and personal data.
• Camera consent: withdraw it at any time simply by not enabling the camera.
• Other rights: you may have further rights under the laws where you live, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, hashed passwords and restricted access to sensitive data such as CNICs. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may store or process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using the platform, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in those countries, and we rely on our providers' safeguards to protect it.

10. Children

The platform is for people aged 16 and over (or the age of majority with guardian consent). We do not knowingly collect data from younger children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, show a notice on the site.
